Polyana Viana's rival is hospitalized and the Brazilian's fight is canceled at UFC 248

The fight program UFC 248 had a last-minute write-off. The North American emily whitmire, who would face the Brazilian Polyana viana, was hospitalized this Saturday and will not climb into the octagon set up at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA), this Saturday (07).

emily whitmire was the only athlete on the show who failed the official weigh-in. UFC 248. She was 600 grams above 52.1 kg, the fly division limit.

Ultimate has not yet commented on the reasons that led to the athlete's hospitalization. But it delayed the start of UFC 248 in 30 minutes. Now, the attraction will start at 21pm and will have 11 duels in the fight program.
