The president of Ultimate, Dana White, decided to respond to the criticism received by some MMA fans after the confirmation of the fight between José Aldo e Henry Cejudo. The fight is confirmed for the UFC 250, on May 9, in São Paulo and will represent the fight for the bantamweight title (up to 61,2kg.). In an interview with 'TMZ Sports', the boss justified the choice of the Brazilian, coming off a defeat, as challenger and sent a message that he did not agree with the decision.

“(José) Aldo definitely deserves (the chance to fight for the belt). (Henry) Cejudo wants this. The guy who won belts in two divisions wants to fight Aldo, so what does that mean? Cejudo isn’t out there looking for easy fights,” White said.

Criticisms about the confrontation, however, are based on the fact that the Brazilian was defeated by Marlon moraes on his debut for the bantamweights, in December last year. On that occasion, the compatriots held a great confrontation that could give the winner a chance to face the champion.

Marlon won the judges' split decision. Dana, however, once again stated that she did not agree with the result and made her point by giving Aldo a title shot.

“I think (José) won. I think the judges made a mistake and he won that fight. (Henry) called me after the fight and said: 'Aldo won'. He wants to face Aldo. He wants to face the legend,” he said.

Finally, White made a point of sending a direct message to those who disagree with the new title fight. Without blinking, the 'boss' was tough and straight to the point.

PUBLICITY:

“Just don’t watch it. People are full of sh*t. It’s going to be a fantastic fight”, he concluded.
