Son of a fish, little fish it is. This saying has proven true when analyzing Gabriel Romanelli's early martial arts career. Heir to the legendary Anderson Silva, the athlete won two belts in muay thai last Friday (28), in California (USA), after defeating the then undefeated Christian Williams for the ISK middleweight title (under 74,8kg). After the achievement, the athlete celebrated the feat on his official Instagram account.

“As I said before, we will (fight) for another 20 years. This is just the beginning. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. I am truly grateful,” Gabriel wrote.
Romanelli's feat, 22 years old, came seven months after his debut in the sport, when he defeated American Nick Navarro by knockout in the second round. Against Williams, Anderson's son needed three rounds to settle the bill. Comfortable in the fight, 'Silva' put pressure on his rival with a series of blows that declared the end of the fight. The triumph guaranteed Gabriel's unbeaten record in the sport.
Aware that it will be inevitable to act without comparisons with his father's talent, Gabriel outlines, in some moments, reflections that can be related to Anderson's, who is considered by many to be the best MMA athlete in history.
After his son's victory, Anderson took to social media to pay tribute to the fighter.
"Congratulations. Great fight. Pride”, wrote 'Spider'.
