the russian Fedor Emelianenko announced his retirement last week after knocking out Brazilian Pedro Rizzo at M-1 Global, in St. Petersburg. But the fighter, who is considered the greatest heavyweight of all time, could return to competition if there is a good proposal for his return.
In an interview with the program “Inside MMA”, Fedor said that he could face Brock Lesnar, former UFC champion, in a possible fresh start.
“I'm not promising anything, but anything is possible,” said the fighter, about a fight against the North American. Despite leaving his return in doubt, Emelianenko reaffirms that the time to stop has arrived and that he wants to dedicate himself to his family.
“I have a family, my daughters are growing up far from me. Life goes on. Eventually, the time would come. And my time has come. Let’s try to make new MMA stars.”
