Ultimate confirms press conference between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson for March

As the months pass, the time for one of the most anticipated clashes in recent MMA history approaches. On April 18, at UFC 249, Khabib Nurmagomedov e Tony Ferguson they exchange forces in a fight for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg). Before the show, however, the athletes will begin promoting the clash on March 6, in the city of Las Vegas (USA). The event was confirmed by Ultimate.

In March, both Khabib and Ferguson will face each other and answer questions about expectations for the clash. The conduct of the press conference will dictate the tone of how the athletes are taking the challenge that takes place in April.

This is the fifth time that the UFC has attempted to hold a meeting between two of the biggest names in the lightweight division. Confirmed on four other occasions, the fight between the Russian and the North American never took place due to injuries to the athletes (two for each).

Apparently, this time, the presentation should take place and at a special moment for both fighters. Both the champion, Nurmagomedov, and the challenger, Tony, are experiencing great moments in their careers. While the Russian, in addition to holding the division title, also maintains an unbeaten record of 28 professional clashes, the North American has 12 clashes without negative results.

In recent statements, Khabib has shown respect for his opponent, even stating that none of his former rivals come close to the technical quality imposed by Ferguson.
