Challenger for the vacant flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.), Deiveson Figueiredo is exuding confidence for this Saturday's clash (29), when he faces Joseph Benavidez in the main fight of UFC Norfolk. Aware of the dangers he will face in the dispute, the man from Pará believes he has the talent and capacity to end his 35-year-old rival's career. The statement was made in an interview with 'Combate'.

“In fact, I was born with this mental preparation. I'm a very calm guy. I like to go cold and calculated in my fights. I know very well what I'm going to do to neutralize the game of Joseph Benavidez. I'm going to retire Benavidez. His age is already advanced for the event. So I'm going to knock him out. And he will be knocked out well so he can retire, for sure”, said the Brazilian.

In addition to the victory, Figueiredo also envisions promoting a great spectacle for the public that follows his challenges in MMA. For Deiveson, the desire is to become a champion who excites sports fans with great performances.

“This belt is just the beginning of my career. There will be much more after this. The show I put on inside the Octagon is what the public wants to see. Everyone goes crazy in the arenas when they see me. I fight to kill, I don't fight to play. So, whoever is going to fight me, know that it will be a war inside that cage (octagon)”, said the man from Pará.
