“When my master presented me with this fight (against Shana Dobson), he said: 'Pedrita, maybe we can perform better against this one, because you still haven't managed to show my Pedrita from Brazil, who scored eight to zero in the Brazil and joined the UFC. She hasn't appeared in the Octagon yet.' I went through a lot of psychological problems after the Valentina fight (Shevchenko, in February 2018), and I believe that, for this fight, my psychology is good and, for sure, I will be able to present the real Pedrita”, said the weight fly.

When he debuted for Ultimate, Pedrita was undefeated in his professional MMA career, adding eight consecutive victories. Despite the sequence of positive results, the Brazilian thinks that the constant sequence of presentations may have affected her performance when she arrived at the UFC.

“I had been on a streak of fights and victories, and out of nowhere I found myself in a bed, with my leg stretched out for a month, unable to get up. This really messed with my head. The fight in London (in March 2019) I still tried to come back, but I was still very shaken. The first fall I took from Molly, in the first round, reminded me of Valentina, and I couldn't do what I trained to do. Then when I accepted the fight against Luana 'Dread' (in May 2019), I still wasn't 100% ready either. But I guarantee that for this fight (on Saturday) my head is fine”, said Priscila.

The Brazilian then revealed that she has been carrying out psychological work so that she can assist in her training period and help the athlete achieve her best performance for fans and members of the UFC board.

“I managed to come back, my training is in full swing and this time Pedrita will let loose inside the octagon, you will meet the real Pedrita. I receive psychological help from the Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama, they sponsor me and give me full support. And there is also Allan Magalhães, a hypnologist, who is an incredible guy and who helps me a lot in this process of recovering mentally", he concluded.
