The setback against McGregor marked one of the worst moments in the career of the 'Cowboy', who is considered one of the most dangerous athletes in the lightweight and welterweight divisions. However, after being defeated by top athletes in his last three appearances, the fighter equaled the moment experienced by the North American in 2017, when he suffered three defeats in a row.

In the confrontation against Conor, Donald barely had time to impose his strategy and didn't even manage to pose any kind of danger to his rival. Right at the beginning of the fight, the Irishman connected a great sequence of blows that culminated in a fatal knockout less than 50 seconds into the fight.

An obstacle that could interrupt Cerrone's desire to return to the octagon on the date scheduled by the athlete is the six-month medical suspension applied after the UFC 246. After the show, the fighter was suspected of having a fractured nose and orbital bone. According to the Nevada Athletic Commission, the athlete could return to combat by July.
