Hired by Ultimate as a bet for the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg.), Raulian paiva He has yet to have his arm raised at the end of a match for the organization. This Saturday (15), at UFC Rio Rancho, however, the Amapá native will have another chance to win his first victory for the organization, when he faces Mark De La Rosa. In an interview with 'Combate', the athlete spoke about his preparation and expectations for the confrontation.

“I did all my preparation for this fight in my state (Amapá), in my city, in my gym. It was good, hard, intense training. My weight loss has been wonderful. I'm feeling strong. I’m confident, I count on everyone’s support,” said the Brazilian.
Discovered on 'Dana White's Contender Series' and with two official appearances for Ultimante, Raulian was defeated in his debut in a split decision by the judges (UFC 234, in February last year) and ended up being unlucky in his second engagement. In August, at UFC Uruguay, the Amapá native fought against his compatriot Rogerio Bonorin, but ended up being forced to leave the fight after suffering a deep cut to his face. The incident resulted in defeat by knockout.
Just like Paiva, De La Rosa also needs to win to get back on track. The athlete is coming off two consecutive setbacks and hasn't won since November 2018, when he beat Joby Sanchez at UFC Denver.
At 24 years old, Raulian now has 21 fights as a professional in MMA. The athlete has 18 wins and three losses.
Mark, 25, in turn, has 11 triumphs and three setbacks on his record.
