“April 11th, we enter the Octagon again. Let’s do it”, wrote the Brazilian.
Known for his aggressiveness and knockout power, Vicente was on a great run until he exchanged forces against the former challenger for the category belt. In the clash, Luque and Thompson had a great confrontation in the UFC 244, in November, but the North American ended up victorious in the unanimous decision of the judges.
While Vicente tries to win again, Brown seeks to increase the number of consecutive victories to three. In great form, the Jamaican has not lost since July 2018, when he was beaten by Niko Price in one of the UFC Boise fights.
Luque currently occupies 14th position in the ranking, which is today dominated by Kamaru Usman. The athlete must win to prevent his opponent from taking his place in the group and avoid the risk of leaving the category's elite.
At 28 years old, the Brasilia native has 25 appearances as a professional in MMA. In total, there are 17 wins, seven defeats and one draw.
Brown, 29, meanwhile, has 15 commitments. There are 12 victories and three setbacks on his record.
