The experience of Chris Weidman in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.). After one fight and one defeat, the North American announced that he will return to middleweight (up to 83,9kg) in his next commitment. The information was released by the athlete himself on his official Instagram account.

Chris last performed in October last year, at ufc boston. At the time, the North American had the tough task of trying to prove himself in the new category against the, until then, undefeated, Dominick reyes. In the fight, Weidman was unable to impose his strategy and ended up being overcome by his rival's talent after a ruthless knockout.
Back training to return to his old category, Chris already has an idea of when he will be seen in the Octagon again. The combatant intends to return to active duty in the first four months of the year.
“I'm more motivated than ever and I know the future is going to be great. I hope to have a fight scheduled in April and in the middleweight division”, he concluded.
Weidman gained worldwide fame after dethroning the legendary Anderson Silva in 2013. On that occasion, the athlete shocked the world by scoring a tough knockout over the Brazilian and ending 'Spider's' hegemony in the category.
Chris remained champion until December 2015, when he was beaten and dethroned by Luke Rockhold. Since then, the North American has had a complicated trajectory in the sport. There are six fights and only one victory. The athlete has not achieved a positive result since July 2017.
