After accepting the confrontation with less than 24 hours to UFC 247, which took place this Saturday (8), in Houston (USA), James Krause showed a lot of courage in the confrontation against Trevin giles in the last fight of the preliminary card. In a balanced fight, the athlete imposed danger on his opponent, but ended up being defeated in a split decision by the judges.

James, who is a welterweight athlete (up to 77 kg.), moved up a category to be able to perform in the North American show and, despite having suffered hard blows, he resisted for three rounds and even attempted two submissions that could have changed the result end of the confrontation.
Needing to win, Trevin entered the octagon showing a lot of aggression and was unable to get the knockout due to the race of his opponent. With the triumph, the North American breathes more calmly after suffering two consecutive defeats.

The fight
At the beginning of the fight, Trevin took the initiative, connecting good sequences of punches, which even shook James. However, Krause realized the difficulties and tried to take down his opponent and act in his comfort zone. The athlete managed to get to Glles' back and started trying to choke him. Trevin tried to defend himself as best he could, but James continued to insist on the rear naked choke. In the final seconds, Gilles managed to reverse the position and managed to connect good blows to his opponent's face. The fighters got up, but there was no more time.
In the second stage, Trevin again took the initiative in the confrontation, delivering a high kick that exploded into his opponent's guard. Giles continued to pose more danger on his feet and James continued walking backwards, waiting for a good moment for a counterattack. After two minutes, Trevin managed to press Krause against the bars and threw powerful punches, but his rival showed the courage to defend and absorb the attacks. James managed to take the fight to the ground, but ended up falling into a disadvantageous position. Giles delivered hard blows from top to bottom and punished his rival's face. In the end, James was almost surprised by a rear naked choke, but was saved by the end of the assault.
In the last round, Giles began to provoke James, trying to induce his opponent to make mistakes. Krause attacked his opponent and managed to land good blows on Trevin, who continued walking backwards. Halfway through the round, James managed to connect with a good cross followed by a high kick and Giles responded with a series of punches. The fight continued to be fought standing up with both athletes connecting good blows. In the final seconds, the athletes were already showing fatigue and the attacks were no longer as strong.

In the third fight of UFC 247, JourneyNewson achieved an imposing victory over Domingo Pilarte. Coming from a defeat, the North American, who came from a defeat against the Brazilian Ricardo Carcacinha he took no notice of his compatriot and knocked out his opponent just 38 seconds into the fight.
Pilarte started the fight with a good high kick, which shook Newson, however, Journey took advantage of his opponent's attack and connected with a good right hand. Domingo immediately went to the ground and Newson was left with the role of hitting his rival until the referee stopped the confrontation.
The triumph marked Journey's first victory in Ultimate. This was the athlete's second appearance at the company.
Defeated, Pilarte continues without winning in the UFC. On his debut, the North American was beaten by Felipe Cabocão, in July last year.

Undefeated in 10 fights, Miles Johns experienced, for the first time, the taste of defeat. In combat against mario bautista, the North American was unable to impose his strategy and ended up succumbing after a harsh knockout applied by his opponent in the second round.
The duel started evenly. The athletes studied each other a lot in the first stage and, in the second round, they decided to take risks. With almost two minutes gone, Bautista took advantage of his opponent's distraction and connected with a beautiful flying knee, which exploded onto Johns' chin. Miles went to the ground and Mario continued hitting his opponent hard until the referee stopped him.
With the triumph, Bautista adds his second consecutive victory in Ultimate.

the american Kalinn Williams showed that he is not in the UFC for fun. The athlete, who debuted in Ultimate this Saturday, needed just seconds to defeat the experienced alex morono. With a brutal knockout, the athlete arrives in the welterweight division (up to 77kg) with momentum.
Kalinn accepted the challenge of facing Alex at just two weeks old. The fighter replaced Dhiego Lima, who left the card after suffering an injury.
The athletes started the duel very aggressively. In the French exchange, Williams did better and, with a great sequence of punches, led Morono to a knockout in the opening seconds of the confrontation.
The triumph marked the tenth positive result of Kalinn's career. Alex, in turn, suffered his sixth defeat and had a streak of three consecutive victories interrupted.
