Although Dominick reyes been the center of moments of apprehension at the official weigh-in of the UFC 247, which took place in the early afternoon of this Friday (7), there were no failures in the commitments with the scales among the 24 athletes performing in the show that takes place this Saturday (8), in Houston (USA). The challenger for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg.) was the penultimate to weigh in, arriving in space in the final minutes, but guaranteed his presence in the clash against Jones, who was one of the first to carry out his assessment.

'Bones' arrived at the space dedicated to counting weights, exuding friendliness. Looking serene, the athlete greeted the people present at the scene and stepped onto the scale wearing a cap, proving that there were no difficulties in reaching the weight limit. The champion weighed 92,5kg, around 500g below the established weight.
Responsible for trying to end Jon's hegemony among light heavyweights, Dominick reyes made his fans and press professionals wait until the final moments of the counting to guarantee his presence on the North American card. The athlete entered the space without a shirt and walked to the scales. After the tension, the North American weighed 92,9kg, approximately 100g from the official limit.
If there was tension to confirm the main fight, the fight that preceded the light heavyweight title fight had no surprises. With the flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.) at stake, the champion, Valentina Shoevchenko and her rival for this Saturday, Katlyn chookagian, fulfilled their obligations without any major problems.
The champion didn't take long to check her weigh-in. Calmly, Valentina easily reached 56,4kg, around 300g below the limit.
Not unlike the champion, Chookagian went through the weight challenge without any problems. With ease, the challenger weighed the same 56,4kg as her opponent for this weekend.
Brazilian scare
Brazil's only representative in the UFC 247, Antonio Arroyo caused concern among fans when he was the last of the 24 athletes to confirm his weight this Friday. The person from Pará who faces Trevin giles in the last fight of the preliminary card, he arrived with a haggard look at the scene. However, the average weight (up to 83,9kg) managed to reach the limit and confirmed 84,3kg, using the tolerance pound.
Antônio's opponent, Giles had no difficulty confirming his weight. Earlier, the North American confirmed 84,1kg. and guaranteed himself in this weekend's show.
