Born in Campina Grande, the native of Paraíba seeks to return to the good phase of her career. In recent years, Bethe suffered poor results and lived with an eye injury that kept her away from the Octagon for almost two years.
In its last performance, which took place in September, at UFC Mexico City, Correia managed to end a streak of three fights without a win. The Brazilian had not had a positive result since September 2016, when she crashed Jessica Eye.
Responsible for trying to ruin the Brazilians' party on the São Paulo card, Pannie also comes from a victory and seeks to establish a positive sequence. With two appearances for Ultimate, Kianzad lost one and triumphed in the other.
The clash between the two marks the meeting between athletes trying to be among the bantamweight elite, which today is dominated by Amanda nunes. While Bethe occupies 13th position in the group, the Swede still doesn't have her name on the list.
The show in São Paulo has been considered to represent the UFC 250. The company's board of directors is considering holding, as the main fight, a meeting between Henry Cejudo e José Aldo for the rooster title.
