Urijah Faber supports the fight between Cejudo and Aldo: 'They want money. I don't blame them'

“I know he (Henry Cejudo) just wants to make money. I can't blame him. They want to get paid. It's not about doing this, it's about doing and maintaining it. There are so many good guys in this (bantamweight) division. I really feel like this moment is the most exciting in the history of the category,” said Faber.

The criticism of the board after entering into negotiations with José and Cejudo is due to the fact that Manauara was defeated by Marlon moraes in his debut for the new division, in UFC 245, in December. On that occasion, Aldo ended up losing in a split decision by the judges, but, according to Henry and the company president himself, the judges made a mistake.

Like some sports fans and MMA experts, Urijah remembered the Russian Petr yan, who continues to defeat all opponents chosen by Ultimate and remains undefeated since debuting for the organization. However, the American stated that, even with his qualities, Yan still does not enjoy all the prestige necessary to earn the right to challenge the champion.

Thinking this way, Faber suggested that Ultimate hold a confrontation between Petr and the former champion, Dominick Cruz. After the match, the winner could act for the strap.
