The UFC innovated its fighter ranking system and promoted a new weight-for-pound list whose representatives are only women. Now, in addition to the group among the best men, women now have their own stars. As number one, the company climbed Amanda nunes to head the group. The new change removed the name from the old list, which was dominated by Jon Jones. Now, the group only includes men and the attitude has caused names like Robert whittaker, former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) and Jorge masvidal (owner of the symbolic title of 'Mais Casca-Grossa') made the list.
With Amanda dominating the group of women, other Brazilians are also among the best. Names like Jessica Andrade e Claudia Gadelha also complete the list.
In addition to the great relationship with the UFC board, the great things done by the 'Leoa' in her last commitments were responsible for the 'gift' given by the company to the Brazilian.
Currently, only Amanda holds two simultaneous titles for the organization. The fighter is the undisputed champion of bantamweight (up to 61,2kg.) and is the current number one among featherweights (up to 65,7kg.), since she beat Chris Cyborg and took the belt from her compatriot in December 2018.
In December, Amanda defended her bantamweight title for the fifth time and equaled the record of Ronda Rousey. The Bahian is now one victory away in the under-61,2kg division. to become the greatest champion in the history of Ultimate, among women.

This does not make any sense!
If the ranking is pound-for-pound, it doesn't matter what gender or weight the fighters make up.
If Amanda and Valentina are building a consistent sequence of title defenses it is thanks to their competence in beating whoever the UFC puts in front of them. However, the UFC has never had a long-lived Heavyweight, with countless title defenses, but it has had several heavyweights ranked first in the pound-for-pound rankings, that's strange.
What the UFC invented to do is shit.
