Brazilian Herbert Burns receives performance bonus at UFC Releigh

Herbert “Blaze” Burns' dream debut in Ultimate ended with a flourish at the UFC Releigh post-event press conference, on Saturday night (25) in the United States, when president Dana White announced that the Brazilian was one of the winners of the “Performance of the Night” bonus for his devastating knockout in the fight that opened the night.

The only one of the four Brazilians competing on the card to win, Burns took home 50 thousand dollars (around 210 thousand reais at current prices) thanks to the prize. The other athletes who received an extra check from the organization were: Alex Perez, for his performance against Jordan Espinoza; It is Brett johns e Tony Gravely, who stars in “Fight of the Night”.

In addition to the bonuses paid by the organization, Dana also announced that UFC Raleigh attracted 14.533 fans to the PNC Arena, in the capital of the North American state of North Carolina, for an income of US$ 1.303.320,00 (approximately 5.2 million reais , at the price of the day).

The main fights at UFC Raleigh were marked by the defeats of two former Brazilian champions: Junior dos Santos, who ended up being knocked out by Curtis blaydes in the fight that closed the night, and Rafael dos Anjos, which was surpassed by Michael chiesa in a unanimous decision by the judges in the second most important fight of the night.
