Alex Leko faces Tristan Connelly in April and seeks second UFC victory

After achieving his first victory in Ultimate, in August last year, Alex Leko You already have a new commitment defined. The Santa Catarina native will exchange forces against the Canadian Tristan connelly on April 11th. The location of the card has not yet been defined by the UFC. The news was released by 'Combate'.

The duel against Tristan will mark the Brazilian's third appearance for Ultimate. Debuting for the company in April 2019, at UFC Saint Petersburg, when he was defeated by Alexander Yakovlev, the fighter will have the 24th fight of his professional career.

Leko achieved his redemption in the duel against Rodrigo vargas, at UFC Montevideo. With the triumph, the Santa Catarina native can breathe easy in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg) and is ready to face Connelly, who is coming off a victory within the organization.

The Canadian became known to the Brazilian public after agreeing to face Michael Pereira, the last minute 'Flying Paraense' in UFC Vancouver, In September. Against Pereira, Connelly, who had never fought for Ultimate, entered the octagon as a big 'underdog' and managed to surprise MMA fans by achieving a big victory in the judges' decision.

At 23 years old, Alex currently has 21 wins and two losses as an MMA fighter.

Tristan, 34, is going for his 21st performance. The Canadian has 14 triumphs and six setbacks.
