The overwhelming performance of Conor McGregor before Donald Cerrone in the main fight of UFC 246 yielded an additional check to the already millionaire payment expected by the Irishman. McGregor was one of the five awarded the “Performance of the Night” bonus by Ultimate after the event, alongside him was also the Brazilian Carlos Diego Ferreira, who submitted the former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis in the fight that opened the main card.
In addition to McGregor and Ferreira, veteran Alexey Oleinik, Drew dober e brian kelleher formed the list of athletes awarded the bonus. Each of the five athletes will take home US$50 (approximately R$208 at current prices).
Along with the announcement of the night's bonus winners, Ultimate also released the official attendance and income figures for the UFC 246. With 19.040 spectators present at the T-Mobile Arena, the event had revenue of $11.089.129,30 (around 46 million reais), a number that corresponds to the fourth highest box office revenue in the organization's history.
