Bisping suffers injury and Lombard debuts in the UFC against Tim Boetsch

The Cuban Hector Lombard has a new opponent for his UFC debut. The fighter, who is a former Bellator champion and considered one of the biggest threats to the reign of Anderson Silva, was scheduled to face Brian Stann at UFC on FOX 4, an event that takes place on August 4, but the American was injured and is out of action.

Without an opponent, Lombard came to challenge Michael Bisping, who was scheduled to face Tim Boetsch, but the English fighter suffered an injury during training and was also out of action.

As Boetsch, who was scheduled to face Bisping at UFC 149, was also left without an opponent, the organization resolved the issue quickly. As a result, Lombard, who would fight on August 4th in Los Angeles, will have to enter the octagon weeks before, for UFC 149, an event that takes place on July 21st, in Calgary, Canada.

Lombard will win by knockout, if the fight goes to the judges, he will win on points due to the organization and the hype that his fight with Anderson will give.
