One of the most charismatic Brazilians in Ultimate, Claudinha gadelha is back in action this Saturday (18), at UFC 246, in Las Vegas (USA), when it faces the Mexican Alexa grasso. Coming off a victory, the fighter hopes that a positive result against her opponent could put her on the radar for a title fight soon. In an interview with 'Combate', the Mossoro native spoke about her expectations for the clash.

“My goal is to win this fight on Saturday. I'm focused on that, but I feel like I'm not that far away from a title shot. I think that by winning this fight and maybe one more I can fight for the belt again. That's my goal for 2020. I see myself in this cake. It's like I'm saying, I've already fought the best in the category, there will be wonderful fights in the coming months and I'm definitely in the mix”, stated Gadelha.

Cláudia was a challenger in July 2016, when she fought against the Polish Joanna Jędrzejczyk and, on that occasion, ended up being defeated by a unanimous decision by the judges. Since then, Gadelha has held six clashes, winning four of them, which puts her in sixth place in the category ranking.

For her next match, Claudinha showed that she had studied her opponent and was prepared to carry out the confrontation wherever it took place. Even though she respects her rival, the Brazilian stated that she has the weapons to come out with her arm raised at the end of her dispute.

“Alexa is a great fighter. She is among the top 10 in the world. She has a very refined boxing technique, I think that physically I am stronger than her, and technically I feel that I have a more complete game, as I have grappling as a difference. Our idea is to fight MMA”, said Gadelha, who added: “I think it's an opportunity to show my ground game, but I feel complete, feeling good in all areas. I think she favors me in this idea of ​​grappling, because I consider myself a more complete fighter than her, I have better grappling than her, and she has her advantages in boxing”, he concluded.
