Conor McGregor hasn't won an MMA fight since 2016, but he hasn't lost his habit of provoking his rivals. The Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, his last tormentor, has never lost in his career and has 28 consecutive victories. However, the Irishman guarantees that the lightweight champion (up to 70.3 kg) is 'trembling' for a possible rematch against him.

“I’m just having fun with it all. He's shaking. This guy is shaking, he doesn't want this (the rematch). He's trying not to lose. I smell the s***, he’s scared,” said McGregor, in an interview with the YouTube channel The Mac Life.

The first date

In their first clash, at UFC 229, Khabib submitted Conor in the fourth round with a rear naked choke. During the more than 18 minutes of combat, the Irishman even managed to win the third round. But he was knocked down in the first few rounds and submitted in the fourth round. However, without making excuses, McGregor claimed that he had a bad training period to face Nurmagomedov.

"My last camp It was horrible. I have no one to blame but myself. I took the blame and corrected the mistakes. Fortunately, I have a very strong team behind me who are encouraging me and guiding me in the right way. That's the main thing. I'm listening to myself more, doing the work I need to do. Entering the Octagon is always on my mind. I know I have a lot of business, but fighting is my livelihood and that’s what I’m focused on,” he added.
