UFC-85 recently ended in London. In the main fight of the night, Brazil came away with the victory. After failing to make weight in the welterweight division, Thiago Alves redeemed himself and ran over Matt hugs, winning by technical knockout in the second round. Two other Brazilians on the show's main card also won. Thales leites defeated Nate Marquardt in the judges' decision, after the American lost 2 points for applying illegal blows to the Nova União black belt. Fabricio Werdum, managed to impose his game and defeated Brandon Vera by TKO in the first round.
On the alternative card, Brazil didn't do so well. Luiz Arhur Cane, known as Banha, defeated Jason Lambert with a beautiful knockout in the first round, however, Thigo Tavares and Roan Jucão ended up being defeated by Matt wiman and Kevin Burns respectively. Check out the full results:
