The hand injury confirms the intensity with which the Australian took the fight against Max Holloway. For five rounds, the athletes competed for the title and, at the end of the fight, the Australian was declared the new owner of the title in a majority decision by the judges.

After the event, both the president of Ultimate and Alexander confirmed that a rematch against the Hawaiian is already in the plans for the future. According to the two, Max, who became the owner of the belt in 2017, was a great champion and deserves a chance to regain his position.
