The Brazilian Antonio Pezão he didn't have the debut he planned in Ultimate. In action at UFC 146, an event held last Saturday (26), the Brazilian ended up being dominated by Cain Velazquez and defeated by technical knockout in the first round.
Right at the beginning of the fight, Pezão suffered a deep cut on his face, due to an elbow applied by Velasquez, which caused enormous bleeding. And for the Brazilian this was one of the reasons for his poor performance.
“I was very well trained and really wanted to fight, but, unfortunately, after 30 seconds I had a very deep cut that hindered my vision”, said the Brazilian heavyweight.
“I was struggling to see and not try to escape the blows of the Cain Velazquez”, added the Brazilian, who despite the cut on his eyebrow stated that he is fine. “I’m 100% and I only got 7 stitches…”, concluded Pezão.
