Three athletes representing the PFL (Professional Fighters League) were surprised after being accused of doping by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC). Among the combatants, two Brazilians are involved: Glaico France, ex-UFC and Luis Lauerentino. The substance found is the steroid stanozolol. North American Ramsey Nijem was also notified, however, the case is related to traces of marijuana in the body. The information was released by 'ESPN'. The three athletes are suspended until the case is resolved.

The hearing for the case is scheduled for December 18th, in which the athletes will have the opportunity to justify themselves to the Commission and try to prove their innocence before the experts.
Glaico, in an interview with 'MMA Fighting' tried to reassure fans by stating that the case is nothing more than a mistake. For the athlete, the notification must have occurred as a result of ingesting a contaminated supplement.
“I was taken by surprise because I am a 100% clean athlete, so I didn't expect to be caught in anti-doping. This happened on October 11th, but I'm calm. I will prove that this stanozolol metabolite came from a contaminated supplement. I know it is my responsibility to check the supplements they use, however, it is also the companies' responsibility to inform each substance used on the label. We already have an idea of which supplements may have caused this problem and we will prove that they were contaminated”, said França.
Glaico became part of the group of Ultimate athletes. The fighter was part of the company between 2015 and 2016. For the UFC, the athlete made three appearances, winning one and losing in the last two.
Currently, França, Laurentino and Ramsey are part of the PFL. The three athletes were defeated in their fights in the company's playoffs, which took place on October 11th and 17th. Glaico was beaten on the first date, while the other two fell last Sunday.
