In addition to having contributed to Ultimate with millionaire figures, the UFC 244 seems to have served to bring back an old character known to the company. Nick, brother of Nate diaz, seems to want to avenge his youngest son's defeat to Jorge masvidal in the main fight on the 2nd, in New York. In an interview with 'ESPN', the fighter showed irritation when talking about a statement made by the North American, suggesting that he would baptize Nate before beating him.

“It’s not me. If you want to talk about baptizing my younger brother, it's up to you. I've never had anything disrespectful to say, but don't talk about baptizing my brother. So you're in a fucked-up position if you face me. You don't talk about baptizing someone's younger brother, man. He's my little brother. You don’t talk to anyone like that,” Nick said.

Recently, Nick had also reported that the possibility of fighting again did not interest him, but also a lot, due to the proposals made by the UFC. For the 36-year-old athlete, there must be some kind of cost analysis to be able to bring him back, since, according to Diaz, he is capable of promoting great shows for the company.

If he does return, Diaz is already planning the location for his confrontation. For him, the Dallas Cowboys (American football team) stadium, with a capacity for 100 people, would be an appropriate place to hold the match and make his return to the sport official.

“You want to do something big, do it at Cowboys stadium. The biggest place I did it, as far as I know, was UNLV (Thomas & Mack Center, in Las Vegas, USA, which holds approximately 19.500 people). I explained to them exactly what's going on. So, now it's up to you. It's up to you, Dana (White). It’s up to you, UFC”, concluded Nick.

Diaz hasn't put on his Ultimate gloves since his encounter against Anderson Silva, which took place in January 2015. At first, the Brazilian won the judges' decision, but the result was converted to 'no contest', as both athletes were found to be anti-doping.

Without fighting for almost five years, Nick now has a record of 35 appearances, with 26 wins and nine losses.
