Masvidal guarantees that he would beat Diaz even if the duel was not interrupted

“I heard a lot of people saying that I could lose in the fourth or fifth round. That would never happen. What happened in the third would just keep happening. I was ready to finish him off,” said Jorge.

The American, however, took the opportunity to praise this weekend's opponent. According to the champion of the new belt, many fighters would not have withstood the large number of blows suffered by Nate during the confrontation.

“Nate is very tough. Because the same blows I used on him would have literally killed someone else,” said the American.

“I want to finish him off. I want to send him to another dimension. I have a lot of respect for him (Nate), but this is our profession. I don't know if we're going to fight in my next commitment, or next year or the year after that. But I'm sure we'll face each other at some other time”, confessed Jorge.

The athlete's triumph this Saturday guaranteed the fighter's good phase in his career. Today, Masvidal has three consecutive victories. The last time Jorge tasted defeat was in November 2017, almost two years ago.
