Colby covington declared war on Ultimate. After becoming involved in controversies regarding the figures established to carry out the fight for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) against the champion Kamaru Usman, the 'bad boy' has now fired at the company's president, Dana White. According to the North American, he will not accept the big boss complying with protocol and putting the strap on him, if he defeats the Nigerian on December 14, at UFC 245. The statement was made in an interview with 'Submission Radio'

“I can tell you who won’t put the belt on me. It won't be Dana White. If he tries to put the belt on me, I'll take the belt and hit him in the face with it”, declared the loudmouth.
The relationship between the president and Covington began to strain after Ultimate's board of directors decided to strip the North American of the interim title he won last year due to the athlete being inactive within the company. Action is something that the combatant has never swallowed. Whenever he appears in public to promote a fight, Colby makes a point of taking his old belt and confirming the idea that he is, in fact, the company's champion.
The American guarantees that, if he beats Usman, Ultimate will have to do its best to see him in action in the future. The controversial athlete said he no longer needs money and will be happy to see the company begging him to return to performing in MMA.
“So they’re going to call me after December 14th and beg me to fight. If they don't come, you know, I don't need to fight again, man. I already have enough money in my bank account. So I don’t have to fight or do anything again,” said Covington.
Dana, in turn, also criticized Colby a few weeks ago, whom she accuses of being responsible for there being no title fight in the UFC 244, which will take place in early November. Instead of the fight between Usman and the 'bad boy', Jorge masvidal e Nate diaz were the athletes chosen to star in the night, which will have a symbolic title created especially for the confrontation.
Regarding Dana's accusations, the former interim champion once again made fun of the matter.
“It’s really funny to make him look like an idiot and make a fool of himself. His speech was: 'He's denying fights'. So that's why I accepted a fight against Robbie Lawler three weeks in advance and without even training, because I had a cut and I still saved his show”, commented the athlete.
Against Kamaru, 31-year-old Colby will step into the octagon to fight his 16th career fight and his 12th in the UFC. The North American has only one defeat for the organization, suffered in the clash against the Brazilian Warlley alves, in 2015, at UFC 194.
