Undefeated in MMA, Kron Gracie avoids prediction for this Saturday's fight: 'The expectation is to put on a good fight'

The Brazilian kron gracie, son of the legendary Rickson Gracie, has barely made his UFC debut and is already scheduled for the co-main fight of a company event. This Saturday (12), at UFC Tampa, the carioca will have the duty of beating an athlete who is on the ropes in the organization. Against the experienced Cub swanson, Kron wants to maintain his unbeaten record in his short MMA career, but prefers not to risk his prediction for the confrontation. The statement was made in an interview with 'Combate'.

“We’ll see how it goes. I'm not much of a prognosticator, of saying that kind of thing. Nobody has a crystal ball to know; That's the beauty of the fight. God willing, everything will be fine. It’s all in God’s hands”, declared the fighter.

Despite not risking the result, the athlete shows that, before victory, the important thing is to perform well against this weekend's rival. The fighter tries to maintain the good impression he has made with his performances since he debuted as a professional athlete.

“My expectation is to have a good fight. I've been training for this for a long time. I was raised to fight. The life of a warrior is like that”, said the carioca.

At 31 years old, Rickson's son will face his sixth challenge as an MMA fighter. Kron debuted in the sport in 2014 and, since February this year, has been among the UFC's featherweights (up to 65,7 kg.) trying to put back in evidence the family name, which has been highly respected since the beginnings of Ultimate, when it was dominated by your uncle, Royce gracie.

In Tampa, in the United States, the Brazilian will have a relatively complicated commitment. Despite facing an opponent who is going through a bad phase in his career, the athlete will have to be careful so that Swanson's moment is not reversed into motivation and, therefore, he is not surprised by the North American.

Cub has been active in the UFC since 2011. His record, at 35 years old, includes important names against whom the fighter has already worked. Max Holloway, Frankie Edgar, Dustin poirier, Ricardo Lamas and José Aldo are on the list of opponents with whom the North American has already exchanged forces in MMA.

Swanson's situation in Ultimate, however, is critical. The fighter's last victory for the company came in April 2017, when he defeated Artem Lobov in the main fight of the UFC Nashville.

This Saturday, Kron will have his second fight for the company. In the first, the athlete emerged victorious after a gala performance against Alex Carceres, submitted by the Brazilian in the first round.
