After announcing Ricardo Carcacinha as another Tupiniquim representative in the UFC Sao Paulo, which takes place on November 16th, Ultimate confirmed yet another weight booster for the card in the capital of São Paulo. Beloved by Brazilians, Charles 'from the Bronx' will be one of the athletes to take to the Octagon at next month's event. The Guarujaense will exchange forces against Jared gordon and will seek his sixth consecutive victory for the organization. The information was confirmed on Ultimate's official Instagram profile.

Although he has been showing for some time now that he is capable of performing at a high level and facing elite lightweight athletes (up to 70,3kg), it was not this time that the Ultimate management chose the Brazilian to exchange forces with a top of the division. Currently in position 12 and trying to continue the climb that will lead to the top, today reigned by the unquestionable Khabib Nurmagomedov, 'Do Bronx' will face an athlete without so much expression and who has just come off a streak of two consecutive defeats.
Charles, who holds the record for submissions in the UFC, will be able to increase his number in his next commitment, or even achieve another victory by knockout, just as he did in his last appearance which took place in May this year in a rematch granted to Nik lentz.
This will be the fifth time that the athlete has participated in a card held on Brazilian soil since he debuted for the organization in 2014. The last time Charles fought in front of his audience was in February this year, when he submitted the Swedish David Teymur.
Opponent of the Guarajaense, Jared will try to surprise 'Do Bronx' and the Brazilian fans in order to score his second consecutive victory in Ultimate; something that hasn't happened since 2017.
At 29 years old, Charles has already held 35 clashes. In all his appearances, the fighter emerged victorious on 27 occasions and suffered eight setbacks.
The North American, in turn, has already had 18 clashes, won 15 and lost three.
