Rulers and Directors make UFC official in Belo Horizonte

This Tuesday, Ultimate signed a partnership between the Government of Minas Gerais and the City of Belo Horizonte to hold UFC 147. The event, which will be held on June 23rd, at Ginásio Mineirinho, had the agreement signed this Wednesday on Friday (16) with Governor Antonio Anastasia and Mayor Marcio Lacerda, who received Marshall Zelaznik, Director of International Development at UFC, and Jaime Pollack, Vice President of International Development and General Director – Latin America.

On the occasion, the two authorities received a pair of UFC gloves as a way of officially marking the arrival of the event in Minas Gerais.

“Hosting an event like the UFC is proof that the continued work to internationalize our capital is being done well. Let's all work together so that all the tourists that an event like this brings to the city are well received”, declared the Governor.

Marshall Zelaznik, Director of International Development at UFC, highlighted the importance that UFC has for the city hosting the event and has already announced the start of ticket sales.

“Every time the UFC arrives in a city, the eyes of the world are focused there. The support from the Government and City Hall has been fantastic. We are sure that all tickets will sell out very quickly,” he declared. "Tickets will be on sale until the end of next week, and tickets for this event will cost less than the Rio event. From what we saw, the arena (Mineirinho) is very welcoming and we are sure it will be a great event”, he concluded.
