Adesanya doesn't mind Borrachinha's provocations: 'I have a difficult task. That's what I'm focused on'

“Nothing can reach me. I'm not even focused on him (Borrachinha) at the moment. I'll face him eventually. He can try anything he wants. Everyone can try,” said Adesanya.

The Nigerian stated that many athletes have already made attempts to get into their psychology so that the fighter enters a given fight with less concentration than usual. However, Israel remains firm and focused on its objective.

“People have tried in the past to shake me down during fight week, but look at how I present myself,” said the interim champion.

Dana White, president of the UFC, guaranteed that Paulo will be present in Australia, the country where the card will take place, to formalize the challenge to the winner of the fight. According to the Nigerian, Borrachinha being there does not influence his performance in any way.

“It actually doesn’t make any difference if he’s on the side of the Octagon or if he’s the referee. At the end of the day, I have a tough commitment ahead of me. So that’s what I’m focused on right now,” he concluded.

At 30 years old, Israel has impressed MMA fans with each appearance. The athlete not only manages to overcome his commitments, but also presents the public with a different way of fighting. The fighter has never been defeated in 17 appearances as a professional.
