It didn't take long. After the controversial end of the UFC Mexico City, ending in just 15 seconds after Jeremy Stephens accuse a finger in the eye by Yair Rodriguez, the Ultimate board acted quickly and tried to reschedule the meeting between the athletes for October 18th, at ufc boston. The information was confirmed by Dana White in an interview with 'ESPN'.

The confrontation between Yair and Jeremy, however, did not happen. There were only 15 seconds of duel and a few blows until Stephens was punched in the eye by his opponent. With the fight interrupted, the North American would have five minutes to try to recover. However, after stating that he was unable to open his left eye and undergoing a medical evaluation on site, the team of evaluators decided to end the fight, causing a disturbance and causing the audience present to throw objects into the octagon.
Meeting at the hotel
Rodriguez and Jeremy met in the lobby of the hotel where they were staying in Mexico City. What seemed, at first, like a friendly meeting, where the Mexican initially asked if his opponent was okay, ended up ending in a turbulent manner.
After getting closer, in video images it is possible to see the fighters exchanging a few words. After a moment, Stephens pushes his rival and a small disagreement ensues, soon broken up by people present at the scene.
