Ultimate's return to Brazil suffered an important loss. One of the Brazilian legends still active in MMA, Rogério Minotouro suffered a back injury and is out of the card, which takes place on November 16, in São Paulo. The information was released by 'Combate'. The athlete would face the American Trevor Smith. With his absence, Smith was also removed from the event and relocated to perform in December, at UFC Washington.

Minotouro, 43 years old, has been dealing with injuries over the years that keep him away from the octagon and end up preventing the athlete from ending his career with more action. Rogério was scheduled to face Trevor Smith, who is going through a difficult time in the company. Against the North American, the Bahian would have the chance to get back on track to winning ways and try to stabilize his record, which, today, suffers from some variations in results.
Minotouro, in his last 10 fights, ended up losing six clashes. The meeting with Smith would mark the Brazilian's 33rd appearance in his career, which has spanned more than 18 years.
No commitment to UFC Sao Paulo, Trevor ended up being cast to act against Alonzo Menifield, UFC Washington, which takes place on December 7th.
