After much anticipation, the controversial Jaime Marcelo climbed into the cage of Jungle Fight, an event that held its 39th edition this Saturday (12), in Rio de Janeiro, and the “myth fell”.

The fighter, who claims to have a record of 135 fights and 134 victories in “real fights”, although the vast majority of his fights are unknown, suffered a hard knockout. Facing Armando Polemic, Jaime started the fight trying to surprise with his striking. However, he was soon knocked down and after a harsh ground and pound punishment, the referee stopped the fight and declared a technical knockout.
In the main fight of the night, Neílson Gomes secured the chance to fight for the Jungle lightweight belt. Facing Rafael Alves, the pupil took advantage of the fact that his opponent was called up in a hurry to replace the injured Ivan Batman, and dominated the fight.
Better at striking, Neílson applied the best blows, but Rafael soon tried to take the fight to the ground. But it was on the ground that Gomes ended the fight. With sharp jiu-jitsu, he landed a fair katagatame and ended the dispute.
“I hope to have the honor of fighting the champion, Adriano Martins,” said Neílson, after the fight, making reference to the Jungle champion.
