One of the UFC's most active athletes will be back this Saturday (14). Donald Cerrone hangs, together with his compatriot, Justin gaethje, the main fight of the UFC Vancouver. For the fight, the dream of facing the current champion is at stake, Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title (up to 70,3kg.). 'Cowboy', however, is in the mood for commitment. He revealed his desire to fight once again this year, but in the welterweight category (up to 77kg.). The statement was made to 'MMA Junkie'.

“After I beat Gaethje, there is no one left (except Nurmagomedov). That's it, there's no one else in front of me. I would still like to fight in December. I'm going to have to take a little break from lightweight and go to welterweight. We will see.

Donald is known in MMA circles for not turning down any fight. The athlete, on several occasions, has been chosen at the last minute to replace athletes who were unable to fulfill their commitment to a card. In this case, the North American filled the space and, on many occasions, emerged victorious.

Since 2013, there hasn't been a single year in which Cerrone doesn't have at least three fights per season. If he is, in fact, selected to perform on a December card, the fighter will repeat the feat that occurred in 2014 and 2015, when the 'Cowboy' performed four times.

In addition to having many fights on his professional record and being able to boast the reputation of being a 'jack of all trades', Donald is also a highly respected athlete inside the Octagon. Even coming off a defeat to the number one lightweight contender, Tony Ferguson, the fighter has a lot of prestige within the organization and is always at the top of the division's rankings.

At 36 years old, the 'Cowboy' has 48 fights on his record, with 36 wins and 12 losses.
