In a new provocation, Henry Cejudo challenges former champion, Dominick Cruz, on video

Flyweight and bantamweight champion uses social media to invite rival to share the octagon, claiming it would be an easy fight

When the subject is 'next fight', the flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) champion, Henry Cejudo He is one of the most confusing athletes in Ultimate. Each time, the North American challenges a different athlete and invites them to a confrontation. The name of the day was the former holder of the roosterweight title, Dominick Cruz, dethroned in 2016 by cody garbrandt. The athlete has not fought since the episode. On his Instagram account, this Tuesday (27), 'Triple C' (three times champion) stated that he would like an easy fight and mentioned Cruz's name in a comical video in which he talks to his belts as if they were your children.

“Dad has had some tough fights lately. For the last year and a half he has fought Demetrious Johnson, the best (fly) of all time, and he won; TJ Dillashaw, the best rooster of all time, I beat him; I also defeated the killer, Marlon moraes”, staged Henry. Daddy wants an easy fight, kids. I want someone I can break. I want someone soft, someone easy”, said the champion.

After the speeches, Cejudo got up from the bed he was on and showed off a shirt with the phrase: 'Fight to reinvigorate' printed on it and, underneath, Dominick's name in gold. Henry then looked at the camera and did the challenge.

"Dominick Cruz, I have a message for you: 'I don't know how you can say that you are the best in the world, when you can't even be the best in Arizona (one of the North American states)! Can you do me a favor and bend the knee for 'Triple C' too”, concluded the fighter.

This isn't the first time Henry has recalled Cruz's name for a future matchup. Right after hitting Marlon moraes and win the vacant bantamweight belt, the athlete stated that his desire is to face legends of the sport and, still in the octagon of UFC 238, in Chicago (USA), the champion challenged names like Dominick, cody garbrandt e Urijah faber.

Cruz, 33 years old, debuted in the UFC in 2011, however, constant injuries meant that the athlete only had six fights in eight years with the organization. Throughout his career, the American played on 24 occasions and was defeated on only two. Between 2008 and 2016, Dominick managed a streak of 13 fights without being defeated.

PUBLICITY:

Although he challenged Cruz, Cejudo was warned that he must first defend his flyweight title. The athlete is currently recovering from shoulder surgery and should only return to combat next year.
