The former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg) and now commentator, Michael Bisping, stated that he believed that the Irish Conor McGregor would be nothing more than a supporting role in a third confrontation between the 'Notório' and Nate diaz. For Bisping, Nate's popularity is currently greater than that of the Irishman, who hasn't fought in almost a year and has tarnished his name with extra-fight controversies. The statement was recently made on his podcast, 'Belive You Me'. Diaz returned to the Octagon after three years, on August 17, at UFC 241.

“Conor would be a supporting player for this fight right now. As for popularity, I don't know. I think Diaz may have managed to overcome him. He fought perfectly. He was out of the sport for three years, came back and was not influenced by Ultimate. He kind of went against the UFC. He's the kind of guy who comes back at the top. He won the fight. It was sensational. The performance was great and he holds himself in a way that the audience likes. He is real, authentic”, praised Michael.
