the american Nate diaz, famous for controversies and confusion inside and outside the octagon, messed up once again. Upon his return to Ultimate, after three years away, the fighter took to the stage for the UFC 241 open training session with a marijuana cigarette.

Nate went to the area where the fighters performed with his cigarette in hand and lit it up on his way to the stage for his performance (see the video below). He simulated punches and kicks, while releasing smoke from his mouth. The fighter even went to the fans and shared the joint with those who were present.

It is worth mentioning that UFC 241 will be held this Saturday (17) in Anaheim, California, a state where the use of weed is permitted. Despite this, Diaz had to declare to the local Athletic Commission and the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) that he is authorized to use CBD, a derivative used for medicinal purposes and without psychoactive effects.

Speaking to journalists after the presentation, Nate preferred not to enter into any new controversies: “I need to smoke marijuana, but I'm only going to smoke it after the fight.” When asked what had happened on stage, the fighter was ironic. “It was CBD, recommended by my nutritionist,” he added.

UFC 241

Nate diaz face Anthony Pettis in the second most important fight of UFC 241, an event that takes place this Saturday (17). In the main fight of the show, Daniel Cormier defends the heavyweight belt against Stipi Miocic. Another standout clash of the night, featuring a dispute between middleweights Yoel romero e Paulo borrachinha.

In addition to Borrachinha, Brazil will have one more representative on the card: Raphael Assunção face Cory Sandhagen, with an eye on resuming the race for the top of the bantamweight division.
