Coming off a defeat, Minotouro faces Trevor Smith at UFC São Paulo, in November, says website

The Brazilian Rogério Minotouro will have a chance to recover from the harsh defeat suffered Ryan spann, in May this year. The athlete is scheduled to be one of Brazil's representatives in the UFC Sao Paulo, on November 16th and will face the North American Trevor Smith, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.). The information was released by 'Combate'.

Rogério is not going through a good phase in his career. The legendary fighter is unable to maintain a balance in his current record and oscillates between defeats and victories within the organization. Outside the category ranking, Minotouro presents a negative performance when analyzing his last 10 fights. Between them, the Bahian managed to emerge victorious on just four occasions, and was defeated on six occasions.

Rogério debuted in the UFC in 2009. The athlete is one of the remnants of the extinct 'Pride', responsible for revealing to the world names like Wanderlei Silva, Quinton jackson, Mauritius Shogun, alistair overeem, Mirko Cro Cop, in addition to his twin brother, Rodrigo Minotauro, who is considered by many to be a living legend of the sport.

Minotouro's likely opponent for November, Trevor, is also not going through a good moment in his career. The American was defeated in his last two UFC commitments. His last fight took place in December last year, when he was beaten by Zak Cummings. Smith won his last fight in 2017.

In his professional record, Rogério currently has 31 fights, with 23 wins and eight defeats. In his Ultimate career, the Bahian had 12 matches, losing six and winning six.

Smith, at 38, has played on 22 occasions; winning 15 and losing six.

The fight could represent one of the last in Minotouro's career, which has lasted 18 years.
