Who watched the duel between the Brazilian Vincent Luque e Mike Perry at UFC Montevideo, last Saturday (10), he was certainly excited by the performance of the two athletes. However, at the end of the duel, an image shocked spectators. The American had a deformity on his nose resulting from a flying knee from Luque, leaving the public impressed by the scene. After the confrontation, Mike underwent surgery and published an image on his official Instagram account showing that he was fine. The clash between the athletes was voted 'Fight of the Night' after the card.

“Still, they can’t knock me out,” Perry captioned, showing his middle fingers to the camera, which has become a bit of a tradition for the athlete.

Even with all his hard work, last Sunday night (12), Mike used the same social network to publish a message thanking and congratulating Vicente for the duel, as well as thanking him for the bonus won by both. Both will leave Uruguay with US$50 (around R$190 each).

“It takes two (to win 'Fight of the Night'). Thanks for the bonus. I'm cursed with this chin. I should have kept my guard up like you. Knockout or not, a significant strike can do what you did. When I'm healed, we'll train so you can beat these fighters. Congratulations,” Perry posted.

After the exciting battle, Mike, however, does not leave with low morale after UFC Montevideo. The athlete managed, once again, to show a lot of courage and endure, even after the knee strike, which fractured his nose, a guillotine attempt that made him bleed profusely in the octagon, due to the pressure imposed by Luque.

With the achievement, the Brazilian requested, in a press conference after the event, the chance to face the former welterweight challenger (up to 77kg.), Stephen Thompson, who currently sits in seventh place in the division, and is not going through a good phase within the UFC.

Mike, in turn, will have to wait for his full recovery to be able to return to training and, consequently, to the Octagon. According to 'MMA Fighting' the deadline for the fighter's return is approximately six months.
