Michel arrived at Ultimate to join the group of welterweight fighters (up to 77kg). In his first challenge, the fighter faced the North American Danny Roberts. On the way to the octagon, Pereira became very emotional, even moving to tears on the way to the battlefield. However, after the start of the fight, the athlete showed that the focus was on his opponent.

Pereira needed just 1m47s to eliminate his opponent with a flying knee and finish the fight with punches, driving the crowd crazy in Rochester, United States. In the interview after the battle, the fighter once again emphasized that his objective in combat is more entertainment than victory itself. Michel, then, guarantees that the important thing is to take MMA enthusiasts to ecstasy with exciting presentations.

Pereira's opponent for September, like the Brazilian, will have his second duel for Ultimate. Sergey made his debut for the company in January and defeated Rostem Akman by unanimous decision, at UFC Stockholm, in Sweden. At just 27 years old, the Russian has a record full of fights. There have been 31 commitments since the athlete had his first professional fight, in 2011, at just 19 years old. Khandozhko comes from three consecutive victories in his career and his last defeat came in 2017.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, who also has a record with many fights, has won two victories and his last negative result came in December last year. Michel has 22 wins and nine losses in 31 duels played.
