The future of Chris Cyborg within Ultimate it will be a much talked about topic in the coming days in MMA circles. After having the last fight in her current contract with the organization, last Saturday (27), at UFC 240, in Canada, against Felícia Spencer, the Brazilian achieved another triumph in her career and is now free to negotiate with any other martial arts company. Knowing this, and aware of Cyborg's unfriendly relationship with Ultimate, Scott Coker, president of Bellator, published, on his Twitter account, a message congratulating the Curitiba native for her performance last weekend.

“Congratulations on your victory,” Scott posted.

The message may seem simple, however, considering the Brazilian's current career moment, it means a lot. Since the end of the contract with the UFC began to approach, Cris has expressed his desire for proposals from other companies, as his relationship with the current 'house' and, especially with the 'boss', Dana White, is not one of the best. Noting the situation involving the Brazilian, Coker, a few months ago, publicly told Cyborg to call him when her contract ended, signaling that the two parties could reach an agreement and, thus, the Curitiba native could transfer to the competitor.

A change of organization, at the moment, would not have any complicating factors. However, the UFC president, with all his experience in dealing with business involving athletes and fight production, has been trying to convince Cyborg to hold a rematch against Amanda nunes, by whom she was defeated in December last year and also resulted in the Curitiba native losing her strawweight title (up to 65,7kg.). Dana has publicly stated that Cris is afraid of repeating the fight against her compatriot, something that is denied by the former champion.

According to Cyborg, one day after the defeat to the 'Lione', the athlete sent a message to White asking for an immediate rematch. The UFC, however, according to Cris, denied it, stating that the fight could only be held after Amanda defended her bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg.) against Holly holm (fight held in early July). As a result, Cris would not have shown any desire to wait and accepted the proposal to face former Invicta champion, Felícia Spencer, last weekend.

Cris debuted in the UFC in 2016, after a negotiation that lasted a long time. Within the company, the Curitiba native had seven clashes and triumphed on six occasions. Her only setback occurred precisely for her compatriot Amanda nunes.
