Banha makes his middleweight debut against Okami

After experiencing a bad moment in his light heavyweight career, the Brazilian Luiz Banha Cané has moved down a division and already has a date set for his middleweight debut. The athlete from São Paulo faces the tough Japanese Yushin Okami no 150, an event scheduled to take place on August 11th, in Denver in the United States.

With a record of 12 wins and four losses in his career, Banha comes from a sequence of three negative results in his last four fights. In his most recent match, the Brazilian dominated the fight against the Bulgarian Stanislav Nedkov, at UFC Rio, in August 2011, but was surprised and knocked out at the end of the first round.

In turn, Okami also lives a similar moment. The Japanese, who has a professional record of 26 wins and seven losses, has accumulated two losses in a row. After losing the middleweight title fight to Anderson Silva at UFC Rio, the Japanese athlete was surprised, at home, by Tim Boetsch, at UFC 144, held in Japan.
