The Brazilian Francisco Massaranduba I knew I wouldn't have an easy task at UFC San Antonio, held this Saturday (20), in the United States. The athlete faced, on equal terms, the light weight (up to 70,3kg.) Alexander Hernandez, 14 years younger, but to the surprise of many, he was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. The former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg.), Rodrigo Minotauro, also responded negatively to the question asked on the official 'UFC Brasil' account on the social network about whether the result was, in fact, fair.

At 40, massaranduba surprised many after performing at a high level for three rounds and showing very convincing physical strength. Towards the end of the last round, the Brazilian was still exchanging blows against his 26-year-old opponent.
Francisco's opponent this Saturday is considered one of the organization's promises. The North American was on a streak of eight consecutive victories until his good moment was interrupted by a defeat to Donald Cerrone, which took place in January this year. The setback for Alexander prevented the Brasilia native from finally having the opportunity to join the category's elite. Before the triumph, Hernandez was ranked 13th in the division.
Close to 41 years old, massaranduba He has already admitted that he is not thinking about retirement. The setback was only the seventh of the Brazilian's career, which has lasted 13 years.
Throughout his career in MMA, Francisco has already participated in 30 opportunities and won 23 of them.
