Looking to stand out more and more in the welterweight division (up to 77kg), the Brazilian Elizeu Capoeira will go to China to face the home athlete, li jingliang, at UFC Shenzhen, on August 31st. The information was released by 'Combate'. If confirmed by Ultimate, the man from Paraná could win his eighth consecutive victory within the organization.

The last time Capoeira entered the octagon was in March of this year, when the athlete faced Curtis Millender and won a great submission victory in the first round.
Elizeu, 32 years old, doesn't know what it's like to lose since his setback on his Ultimate debut. On that occasion, the Brazilian faced the Danish Nicholas Dalby, more than four years ago, in 2015, in Brazil. After what happened, Capoeira managed to recover and erase the bad result. Since then, the athlete has played on seven occasions and won every time.
The Brazilian's opponent is also coming off victories. li jingliang, 31, comes from two consecutive victories. The Chinese last fought in November last year, when he crashed David Zawada po knockout in the third round in a duel that took place in China.
Ultimate has been trying to conquer the market in Chinese MMA by betting on athletes who could become great idols in the country. In the main fight of UFC Shenzhen, the board chose to hold a dispute for the women's strawweight belt (up to 52,1kg) between the Brazilian Jessica Stacker e Weili Zhang. The clash will represent the Paraná native's first title defense.
Currently, Capoeira is in 14th place in the welterweight category and, if he wins his eighth consecutive victory, the fighter will be able to face a more renowned athlete and follow his dream of competing for the organization's title in the future.
The Chinese, in turn, is not yet ranked, but in the duel against the Paraná native he may have the chance to finally join the category's elite group.
In addition to Jéssica and Elizeu, the Espírito Santo Karol Rosa is also scheduled for the event in China. The fighter will make her Ultimate debut on the card, but, however, her opponent has not yet been announced for the bantamweight fight (up to 61,2kg).
