There was no lack of emotion in the main fight of the UFC 239, held this Saturday (06), in Las Vegas (USA). Considered a huge underdog for the fight, Thiago Marreta did well in front of the legend Jon Jones. The Brazilian, who suffered a knee injury at the beginning of the dispute, was evenly matched from start to finish and was defeated in a split decision by the judges (48-47, 47-48, 48-47).

Marreta started the fight better, landing kicks on Jones' legs and exploding left blows. But in the first round, he apparently tore his knee ligament. Even so, he walked he didn't give up. He walked forward, connecting with good blows from the champion.

Jones only grew in the second half of the fight. With greater wingspan he walked forward, but was cautious with the Brazilian's attacks.

At the end of the dispute, the result could go either way. But the judges, in a divided manner, scored for the current champion.
