The light heavyweight (up to 93kg.), Glover Teixeira, is close to having his second fight of the year for the UFC. The athlete was confirmed on the UFC Vancouver, against Nikita Krylov, on September 14th, in Canada. The information was released on UFC Canada's official Twitter. Currently, the Minas Gerais player occupies 10th position in the category ranking.

This will be Glover's first engagement since scoring a big win over Ion cutelaba, in April this year. On that occasion, Teixeira managed to survive a massacre in the first round, however, he used all his experience to calm the fight and, after controlling his opponent's momentum, he achieved a beautiful submission in the second round. On the occasion, the Minas Gerais native from Sobrália highlighted that, as he is a little older than his co-workers, he sometimes ends up being underestimated within the category.
After the confrontation, the Brazilian also managed to return to the top 10 of the light heavyweight division. Before the clash against Cutelaba, Glover, who is a former challenger for the division title, was only in 11th place in the rankings. Currently, the athlete is 10th.
Teixeira's next opponent is, again, a younger fighter. The Ukrainian Nikita, 27, 12 years younger than the Minas Gerais native, is coming off a defeat and is looking to return to the path of triumphs to dream of competing at the top of the category. The last time Krylov played in MMA was in the duel against the Pole Jan Blachowicz, in his re-debut for Ultimate. Nikita was defeated by submission in the second round and needs the victory to regain the UFC's confidence in his work.
Krylov is currently in his second stint in Ultimate. The athlete was part of the company's group of fighters between 2013 and 2016. After the end of his contract, the fighter began to perform in smaller events and even faced the Brazilian Fábio Maldonado, whom he defeated by knockout in May last year in a fight for the 'Fight Nights Global (FGN) light heavyweight belt.
Glover, today, has 34 fights, 27 wins and seven losses in his professional record
Krylove has 30 fights, with 24 triumphs and six setbacks.
