Poliana Botelho faces Maryna Moroz at UFC 241

The Brazilian Poliana Botelho had his next commitment agreed with the UFC. The athlete will face the Ukrainian Maryna moroz at UFC 241, which takes place on August 17th, in the United States. The information was released by the website 'Combate'.

With the commitment made, Poliana will have her fifth fight for the organization. The Brazilian is coming off a victory over Lauren Mueller in a duel that took place at UFC 236, in April this year, in the United States. Since debuting in Ultimate, in 2017, the 30-year-old from Minas Gerais has won four victories and suffered one defeat, in November last year, when she faced Cynthia calvillo. With 10 fights, eight wins and two losses in his career, Botelho is currently in 15th place in the flyweight rankings (up to 56,7kg).

Her opponent for the August card, unlike the Brazilian, is going through a bad phase in the organization. The Ukrainian comes from two consecutive defeats and a new setback could complicate her situation within the company. Maryna hasn't fought in over a year, and her last career triumph came in 2016, when she defeated American Danielle Taylor.

More Brazilians on the card

After confirming Botelho's presence at UFC 241, the athlete joins Paulo borrachinha e Raphael Assunção as representatives of Brazil on the United States card. Paulo will finally fight the long-awaited duel against Yoel romero, in the fourth fight of the main card.

Raphael, on the other hand, has an appointment against the North American Cory Sandhagen, in the third fight of the main card.

UFC 241 will be headlined by the fight between Daniel Cormier e Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title (up to 120,2kg.).
